Wildflour's Crepe Samurai
I need to start deleting old photos of food I ate in the past. I couldn't delete them because I was waiting to put them up in my blog.
[July 2018]
Wildflour put a spin on Hotel Intercon's delicious crepe samurai so I knew I had to try it.
Unfortunately it was nowhere near Intercon's delicious crepe swimming pool of milky, custardy heaven.
This was baked and served hot (not warm). The top was made of a light pancake-like batter which covered the layers of small-cut mangoes and crepes. You really have to dig in to the ramekin to get everything in your spoon. But before you do that, the server cuts the dessert open with a knife and puts in a small scoop of vanilla ice cream for... added flourish? texture? design?
I wish it were delicious. It was... frighteningly too sweet for me, and I have a sweet tooth. The ice cream didn't help neutralize that sweetness either.
Do not eat unless you have a ridiculous sweet tooth. There are better Wildflour desserts on the menu.

This is the best photo I could take. Not that it matters, because it's not that impressive. |
