Seda Hotel buffet breakfast
I got kicked out from my place due to an emergency renovation and had to book a room at a nearby hotel to sleep for the night. I ended up staying at Seda Hotel Vertis North, which is a stone's throw away from Trinoma (for the unfamiliar). The hotel was pretty good for a room at 6k PHP, but that's not my focus here.
Whenever I go on a staycation, I often look forward to the buffet breakfast they offer. I've been to several hotels in different cities in Metro Manila and I can say I only like a few ones. (Marco Polo being one of my favorites.)
I don't have much to say so these are the things I ate:
The waffles are decently crispy outside and soft on the inside. Syrup tastes like regular syrup (which is good), and I tried their blueberry sauce. Tastes decent. Pretty sweet - but I don't mind.
The bread is a different issue. I personally prefer a crusty, chewy sourdough / multigrain / whole wheat bread rolls (think German bread rolls and not the soft, thin-crusted dinner rolls). This wasn't it. Not sure if this was sourdough or white bread, but it wasn't anything spectacular. I wouldn't eat this again if I had the choice.
I don't pile a lot of food on my plate anymore because I feel bad when I don't get to eat it all. The miso soup was pretty standard (which meant it was delicious, as a reliable miso soup should be). The bacon was unfortunately chewy and tough. The longganisa and the garlic rice were decent. There's nothing much to say here tbh.
Would I stay at Seda Hotel again? Yeah, they have decent quality service. The food is digestible (not bad), so I wouldn't mind eating their free buffet breakfast. But I won't pay for it on its own.
TFD's review - ♡♡♡ (I was on the fence here, but I didn't get a stomachache so...)

Waffles, because they're the superior form of breakfast meal. And some bread. |

L->R: Miso soup, bacon, a nibble of longganisa, and garlic rice |
