Carmen's best

Several years before, Carmen's best started gaining popularity in social media. People were hyping it as one of the best gelatos the country has to offer. Naturally, I had to try it out. I got a small cup of their cookie dough and I was sorely disappointed with the lack of cookie dough bits inside. I figured it must be because of the size (at PHP 100+) and their 400+ pint might contain more substantial ingredients. Nevertheless I never bothered going again (because I have other gelato shops and ice cream brands to buy).

Once the news of a booth inside Powerplant Mall came out, I decided to drop by and taste another one... for science.

Malted milk (scoop)

The Carmen's best store in Powerplant sells their small pint at PHP 150 and some of their flavors available for scoop at the same price point. I initially wanted the He's Not Worth It flavor until I learned it had nuts. I opted for malted milk instead.

Malted milk has maltesers (yum) both whole and cracked ones. The whole maltesers are a bit too much in my opinion, while the cracked/broken ones blend just nicely with the smooth and creamy ice cream. The scoop is also generous despite the price, so I'd recommend this without a doubt.
