Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory
I love chocolates. I always made it a point to taste anything chocolate-flavored--except the bizarre ones, like bacon.
I've been to Belgium, land of the chocolate, and tried their supposedly best selling chocolates there. They were impressive, but also far from accessible here where I shop. (Guylian is my favorite though).
When Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory first opened, I was already prejudiced against it for being 1) American and therefore 2) not Belgian. In my mind Belgian chocolate is as good as it gets, so anything else is subpar. Oh boy I was wrong.
Although I had preconceived notions at the start, my desire to taste new chocolates got the better of me. I finally bought a set of truffles expecting to taste decent chocolates only to be wowed in return.
Red velvet truffle is THE. BEST. It's ridiculously smooth and creamy, combining the flavors of white chocolate shell, chocolate truffle filling, and red velvet. It's not overly sweet, so you can eat these truffles in one sitting.
The rest are okay. I got them for variety, but I end up eating the red velvet ones always.
TFD's review - ♡♡♡♡ (for the red velvet truffle alone)
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory has branches at Shangrila Plaza mall, 3/F Mega Fashion Hall, and Molito Complex Alabang.

Truffles with red lines - red velvet; w/ coffee nib - coffee; with white specks - hazelnut; with chocolate lines - vanilla?; plain - chocolate with liqueur? |
