Mamou, revisited
I don't know why I'm back here.
Actually, I know: my companion likes Mamou's steak. Cue dramatic gasp. Que horror.
Me: Why are we ordering steak at Mamou?!
Them: Well, I like their steak.
Me: Wasn't Mamou's steak tougher? Harder to chew? And thinner than Sage's?
Them: Yeah.
Me: So?!
Them: Well, I like their steak.
Me: 🙄
I mean, it's not a bad steak. It's just not one of the best. It's still hard to chew. Salty, too.
I also ordered this salad called Healdsberg's Harvest which includes "greens in season, sweet tomatoes, glazed pecans, dried cranberries, cranberry stilton cheese, berry vinaigrette". It's a good-tasting salad, but not my favorite. The vinaigrette has a distinct sourness from the (guess what) berries but it's also a bit sweet when mixed with the pecans. All together not too bad of an option.
Please, just let me dine at Sage again...
